Archana Yadav also warned that strict action would be taken against polling station heads and officials who were absent from training as per the Representation of the People Act, 1951. She emphasized the seriousness of the elections and called for everyone to carry out their responsibilities with a national spirit and coordination.
A total of 50 regional officers and 13 master trainers provided guidance on polling procedures at polling stations on election day. They used computer presentations and practical demonstrations to show how to handle Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The training covered legal provisions related to elections, guidelines from the Election Commission of India, processes for postal voting for appointed staff, and various stages of the voting process.
The training also included setting up polling stations, preparations to be made the day before the election, security arrangements, mock polls, and post-voting actions. The officials clarified the duties and responsibilities of polling officers, outlining tasks at different stages and necessary actions for key issues.
Overall, the focus was on ensuring that all election officials are well-prepared and equipped to carry out their duties effectively to facilitate a smooth and successful election process.
