In a shocking turn of events, a senior citizen in Pune fell victim to a fraudulent investment scheme, losing a whopping Rs 1.95 crore. The scam involved a land-buying and selling company called Varad Properties Solution Company, located on Law College Road.
The accused, identified as Mahesh Vijay Kunte and Aparna Mahesh Kunte, both residents of Law College Road and directors of the real estate firm, allegedly lured the senior citizen into investing in their company back in 2019. Promising lucrative returns, the victim ended up investing Rs 1.76 crore in the company over time.
