The Poona Club Golf Course and the Tata Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) have announced the upcoming Poona Club Open Golf Tournament, set to take place from November 6 to 9. The tournament will feature top players like Omprakash Chauhan, Udayan Mane, Veer Ahlawat, Rashid Khan, and Karandeep Kochhar.
A total of 126 players will participate in the tournament, including 123 professionals and three amateurs. The tournament will be a 72-hole stroke-play event, with the top 50 players and ties making the cut after the first 36 holes.
Foreign players such as Stepan Danek from the Czech Republic, Jamal Hossain from Bangladesh, N Thangaraja from Sri Lanka, and others will also be participating in the tournament. The host venue, Poona Club Golf Course, will be represented by professionals and amateurs alike.
Gaurav Gadhoke, President of The Poona Club Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm for hosting India’s top golf professionals at the event, highlighting the importance of providing exposure to junior and amateur golfers.
