Kasba Peth, Pune: If you live in Pune and haven’t heard about the ‘Punyadasham’ bus service yet, then you’re definitely missing out. This amazing service offers all-day travel for just ₹10 on the narrow streets of Pune’s central areas, making it a favorite among city residents.

Hemant Rasane, the BJP Mahayuti candidate from Kasba constituency, recently shared some impressive numbers about the service. Over one crore passengers have used the Punyadasham buses in the past three years, which is a testament to its popularity.

During a recent padayatra campaign that concluded in Narayan Peth, several prominent figures showed their support for Rasane’s candidacy. The event saw the participation of BJP city president Dheeraj Ghate, NCP city president Deepak Mankar, and many others.

Rasane, who also serves as the Chairman of the Standing Committee, shared the story behind the initiative. He decided to purchase 50 Midi buses for the Punyadasham scheme, and it quickly became a success. The buses’ color scheme and clear route boards make them easily accessible for passengers, providing a safe and efficient option to navigate Pune’s narrow roads.

Apart from the convenience factor, Rasane highlighted the environmental benefits of the buses. The Punyadasham buses are CNG-powered, making them environmentally friendly. The goal is to encourage citizens to shift from private vehicles to public transport, reducing traffic congestion and pollution in the city.

Looking towards the future, Rasane revealed plans to expand the service even further. The goal is to introduce 300 more midi buses in the future to enhance the public transport network and make commuting easier for Pune residents.

So, if you’re tired of battling traffic jams and searching for parking spots, hop on a Punyadasham bus and enjoy a stress-free commute through Pune’s central areas.
