Pune wrestler Sikander Shaikh has made Maharashtra proud by winning the Rustam-e-Hind 2024 title in Punjab. He is the fourth wrestler from the state to achieve this feat. Shaikh, who is also the Maharashtra Kesari titleholder, has been supported by the Punit Balan Group (PBG) in his wrestling career. The competition in which Shaikh emerged victorious attracted many renowned wrestlers and his bouts were described as thrilling. He received a mace, a tractor, and a cash prize as part of his award.
