In a surprising turn of events, several candidates withdrew their nominations from the Hadapsar Assembly constituency in Pune on Monday, the last day for withdrawal. The candidates, including Shiv Sena (UBT) City Unit Vice-President Sameer Tupe and RPI (A) former corporator Adv Ayyub Shaikh, announced their support for NCP (SP) candidate Prashant Jagtap.

This move was followed by Congress worker Dnyaneshwar Kamble, independent Nasim Shaikh, and others also withdrawing from the race and throwing their support behind Jagtap. Social organizations like Matang Ekta Andolan and Maharashtra Rajya Sanghatana also submitted letters of support for Jagtap.

Prashant Jagtap engaged in dialogues with various social sections, including residents of Saint Patrick Town housing society. He urged them to vote for the trumpeter symbol for the overall development of Hadapsar, infrastructure growth, and social harmony in the area. Jagtap pledged to work towards these goals if elected.

The political landscape in Hadapsar seems to be shifting, with candidates rallying behind Prashant Jagtap in an effort to bring about positive changes in the constituency. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming elections in Pune.
