Hey Pune peeps! Big news for those in the Vadgaon Sheri Assembly Constituency – 14 polling centers are getting a makeover for the upcoming 2024 General Elections. That’s right, they’re moving from those old temporary structures to shiny new permanent buildings nearby.
Election Officer Sachin Baravkar is urging all voters to stay in the loop and make sure they know where their new polling center is located. No one wants to show up at the wrong place on Election Day, right?
So, what areas are affected by these relocations? Well, Lohgaon, Dhanori, Vishrantwadi, and Yerwada are some of the hotspots where polling centers are getting a facelift.
Let’s break it down by area:
1. Lohgaon: If you used to vote at Sanskar Public School Lohgaon, you’ll now be heading to Brilliant International Pre-School at Ashray Society. Don’t get lost looking for Room No. 1 – it’s all happening at the new place!
2. Dhanori: Neuron Labs School on Dhanori-Lohgaon Road is the new spot for Polling Centers No. 55, 56, 57, 58, and 59. And if you’re used to voting at Vasantrao Anandrao Tingre School in Bhairav Nagar, you’ll need to make your way to Gokulam School on Dhanori Road.
3. Vishrantwadi and Yerwada: Acharya Atmavallabh English Medium School in Vishrantwadi is out, and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Social Justice Bhavan in Yerwada is in for Polling Center No. 168. And for those who used to go to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose High School in Yerwada, you’ll now be casting your vote at the Annabhau Sathe Cultural and Art Theater.
