Hey Pune peeps! If you’ve been wondering what’s been happening in our district since the Model Code of Conduct kicked in for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, here’s the scoop. Pune District has been busy seizing cash and other items worth a whopping Rs 31.77 crores! Yes, you heard that right.

The breakdown of the seized items includes Rs 10.92 crores in cash, liquor worth Rs 5.2 crore (that’s a staggering 6.5 lakh litres!), narcotics valued at Rs 58.81 lakh, valuable metals worth Rs 8.63 crores, and other items adding up to Rs 6.59 crores. That’s a whole lot of stuff being confiscated, folks.

It seems like no constituency in Pune District is being left out of this crackdown. Flying Surveillance Teams (FST) and Static Surveillance Teams (SST) are out in full force, inspecting suspicious vehicles and taking action where needed. The Police Administration, Income Tax Department, Maharashtra State Excise Department, and Central Goods and Services Tax & Customs are all working together to make sure everything is in check.

Parvati Constituency seems to be the hot spot for these seizures, with a total of Rs 6.70 crore worth of items and cash being confiscated there. On the other end of the spectrum, Ambegaon Constituency had the lowest amount seized, coming in at Rs 5.93 lakh.
