An unknown man stopped her, physically assaulted her, and then took her to his place where he molested her. Absolutely horrifying, right? It all went down on Thursday evening around 7:30 PM in Hadapsar.
Thanks to the quick action taken by the victim’s mother, the Hadapsar Police wasted no time and nabbed the culprit, who goes by the name Jose or Jeevan Malil Thomas. The 47-year-old resident of Hadapsar is now facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Reports suggest that the young girl, who is mentally challenged, was slapped by the attacker before being taken to his home. The mother wasted no time in reporting the incident to the police, and they sprang into action immediately.
The Hadapsar Police, under the command of their superiors, used CCTV footage to track down the perpetrator, who was found in Gondhale Nagar of Hadapsar. The team wasted no time in apprehending him, and during questioning, the accused admitted to his heinous act.
