In a dramatic turn of events this afternoon in Hadapsar, Pune, a fire broke out in a warehouse on the third floor of an old building, putting the lives of residents at risk. Thanks to the quick response of firefighters, seven people, including two children, were rescued from the Bhimashankar Sahakari Gruharachna Sanstha building on Pune-Solapur Road near Vaibhav Chitramandir.
The fire, which started around 1 PM, was fueled by wooden photo frames stored in the warehouse and quickly spread, causing panic among the residents. Thick smoke filled the building, making it difficult for people to escape.
Fire Officer Pramod Sonawane and his team, including Anil Gaikwad, arrived at the scene promptly and were able to bring the blaze under control within 20 to 25 minutes using water. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and all residents were safely evacuated from the building.
The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, but investigations are ongoing. The swift action of the firefighters prevented a major disaster and saved the lives of those trapped in the building.
