It was a power-packed day in Pune Cantonment as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took center stage at a massive rally in support of Mahayuti candidate Sunil Kamble. The atmosphere at Golibar Maidan was electric, with leaders, workers, and supporters coming together to show their unity and confidence ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Rajnath Singh didn’t hold back in his speech, expressing his belief that Mahayuti would come to power in Maharashtra. He didn’t shy away from criticizing the Congress party, accusing them of neglecting Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s legacy and failing to address crucial national issues.
The Defence Minister also highlighted BJP’s development initiatives, particularly focusing on women’s empowerment and healthcare for senior citizens. He pointed to schemes like Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat as examples of BJP’s commitment to inclusive growth, contrasting it with what he described as Congress’ lack of development-oriented governance.
The rally saw a strong turnout of key Mahayuti leaders, including former Minister Dilip Kamble, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni, BJP Pune City President Dheeraj Ghate, and RPI (A) City President Sanjay Sonawane. The presence of leaders and supporters from allied parties like Shiv Sena and RPI further emphasized the coalition’s strength.
With the Pune Cantonment constituency becoming a crucial battleground, Sunil Kamble’s campaign received a significant boost from the rally. Supporters were optimistic about Mahayuti’s chances, adding to the excitement and energy surrounding the upcoming elections.
