The campaign for the State Assembly elections in Pune came to an end on Monday, November 18 with a grand bike rally for BJP-Maha Yuti candidate Arogyadoot MLA Dilip Kamble in the Pune Cantonment Assembly segment. The rally, starting from Azad Nagar, Wanawadi, concluded at the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue in Camp.
Former State Minister Dilip Kamble, along with RPI (A) City Unit President Sanjay Sonawane, Mahesh Punde, Balasaheb Janrao, and office-bearers and workers from BJP, Shiv Sena (BT), NCP (AP), and RPI (A) were present in large numbers.
During the rally, Sunil Kamble highlighted his plans for the constituency, including extending the Metro service, improving the financial condition of auto-rickshaw drivers through technological advancements for maintenance and repair, and empowering women through government schemes like Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
He also mentioned securing funds for beautification projects in the area, such as the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue near Pune Railway Station, and efforts to set up a memorial for Lahuji Vastad Salve. Kamble expressed confidence in being re-elected based on his past work in the constituency over the past five years.
