Tragedy struck in the Pokle Wasti area of Bibvewadi on Saturday night when a young man lost his life after being struck by a falling tree branch. The victim, identified as Yogesh Gyandev Vanere, aged 29 and a resident of Pokle Vasti, was chatting with his friend Sumeet Bagade near the Mahadev temple in Ota Colony around 11:30 PM when the incident occurred.
Witnesses reported that a large branch of the tree overhead suddenly snapped and crashed down onto Yogesh’s head, causing severe injuries. Despite being rushed to Sassoon Hospital, Yogesh was pronounced dead upon arrival. Thankfully, his friend Sumeet escaped unharmed.
The Bibvewadi police have registered a case of accidental death in connection with the tragic incident. Our thoughts are with Yogesh’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
