Are you tired of waiting in long lines at the RTO for your driving test? Well, good news! Driving schools can now conduct final driving tests for candidates who have completed their training. Once the schools have the necessary infrastructure in place, they can seek approval from the Central Institute of Road Transport and start offering this service.

No more nervous moments with RTO inspectors watching your every move on the track. If you pass the test at the driving school, you will be issued a certificate, and the RTO will then issue your driving license without any additional tests.

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced that this new system will be implemented starting June 1. This means that applicants can now learn to drive at a school and take the final test there, instead of at the RTO.

However, not all cities are currently set up to take advantage of this new system. In Pune, for example, there are no driving schools with the necessary facilities to conduct the tests. The regional transport officer in Pune has stated that the city will need at least one to two acres of land for a test track, as well as qualified trainers and classrooms, in order to qualify.

Despite the challenges, the RTO is working with driving schools to help them meet the requirements. In the meantime, they have already cancelled the licenses of 31 driving schools in Pune for non-compliance.

So, if you’re looking to get your driving license without the hassle of the traditional RTO test, keep an eye out for driving schools in your area that are gearing up to offer this new service. It could make the process a whole lot easier and more convenient for you.
