Alright folks, buckle up because the Pune Excise Department has been busy cracking down on illegal alcohol activities in the city. In a recent enforcement drive, they managed to seize a whopping amount of booze. We’re talking about 3,951 BL of beer, 4,498 BL of country liquor, 4,052 BL of domestic foreign liquor, 233 BL of Goa-sourced foreign liquor, and a jaw-dropping 115,564 BL of illicit country liquor. That’s a whole lot of alcohol!
Leading the charge on this mission was Superintendent Charansingh Rajput, with the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Sagar Dhomkar and Assistant Commissioner Prasad Surve. They were on a mission to put an end to the production, transportation, and sale of illegal liquor at taverns and illegal toddy shops. Talk about taking a stand against the illicit liquor trade!
But wait, the action doesn’t stop there. With the vote-counting day coming up on November 23, a dry day has been declared in the city. That means no alcohol will be sold on that day. And if you happen to come across any illegal alcohol activities, you can report them by calling the toll-free number 18002339999 or by contacting the Pune Excise Office at 020-26127321. It’s time to clean up the streets and put a stop to illegal alcohol activities. Let’s all do our part to keep Pune safe and alcohol-free!
