Hey there, folks! Today we’ve got a wild story coming out of Sadashiv Peth. In a daring move, thieves decided to break into a flat in broad daylight and make off with a whopping $1,800 in cash. That’s around ₹1,51,985 in Indian currency, in case you were wondering.
The incident took place on November 18 at Siddhi Housing Society, and it seems like the thieves knew exactly what they were after. The elderly couple who lived in the flat had gone out to pick up their granddaughter from school, only to return and find their locks broken and their money missing.
The poor woman wasted no time in filing a report at the Vishrambaug police station, and the cops were quick to respond. Senior Police Inspector Vijaymala Pawar showed up at the scene to assess the situation, and Police Sub-Inspector Ganesh Fartade is now on the case.
It’s a shame that such things happen in our neighborhood, but let’s hope the police can catch these thieves and bring them to justice. Stay safe out there, folks!
