Exciting news coming out of New Delhi as eight start-ups have been chosen to receive support under DST’s National Quantum Mission and the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. The announcement was made by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, at a recent event at the India Habitat Centre.

The event was attended by some big names in the science and technology world, including Dr. V.K. Saraswat from NITI Aayog and Dr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of the Mission Governing Board for the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. These start-ups were selected through a competitive process by the I-Hub Quantum Technology Foundation at IISER Pune. Some of the chosen start-ups include QuNu Labs Private Limited from Bengaluru, focused on developing a Quantum Safe Heterogeneous Network, and QpiAI India Pvt Ltd., aiming to create a Full-stack Quantum Computer.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Jitendra Singh, unveiled the logos of the selected start-ups and highlighted the importance of quantum technologies in revolutionizing various aspects of our lives. He emphasized the potential of Quantum Technologies in areas such as cybersecurity, communications, medical diagnostics, and energy-efficient power grids.
