Brrrr… It’s getting chilly in Pune! The ongoing cold wave has taken a firm grip on the city, with temperatures dropping below 10 degrees Celsius. Both days and nights are feeling frosty, and meteorologists say it’s only going to get colder.
Here are some temperature highlights for today:
– Pashan: 10°C
– Shivajinagar: 9.8°C
– Haveli (Loni Kalbhor): 9.3°C
– NDA: 8.7°C
The drop in temperature is due to low humidity and dry weather conditions in the region. This has led to a consistent decrease in both day and night temperatures, making it a bone-chilling experience for Punekars.
Senior meteorologist Anupam Kashyapi has revealed that a severe low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal is expected to turn into Cyclone Fengal. While the cyclone will primarily affect Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala, its impact will be felt in Maharashtra as well.
The cyclone is likely to reduce humidity in Maharashtra, intensifying the flow of northerly winds and causing temperatures to plummet even further in Pune. So, brace yourselves for some more cold nights ahead!
