Hey there, folks! Big changes are coming to the traffic scene at Katraj Chowk as construction on the flyover ramps up. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende has laid out a new traffic plan to keep things moving smoothly during this crucial phase.

Starting from 3rd December, heavy vehicles like dumpers, trucks, and trailers won’t be allowed to pass through Katraj Chowk. Instead, they’ll have to find alternate routes to their destinations. For example, vehicles coming from Satara through the old Katraj tunnel will be redirected at Navale Bridge, while those from Mumbai via Warje will also be stopped at the same location.

If you’re heading to Katraj from Solapur or Saswad, you’ll need to plan a different route as well. And if you’re coming from Bopdev Ghat, Market Yard, or Bibwewadi, you’ll hit roadblocks before reaching Katraj Chowk.

But not all vehicles are affected by these changes. Two-wheelers and four-wheelers can still use the route as usual. And local heavy vehicles from certain areas will be allowed to operate during late-night hours, but not in Katraj Chowk.

DCP Zende is urging everyone to cooperate with the new traffic rules and explore alternative routes to ease congestion. Let’s work together to make sure the flyover construction goes off without a hitch!
