Hey there, folks! Big news coming out of Katraj today – the long-standing issue of the congested Katraj-Kondhwa road is finally seeing some progress towards a solution. You know the one – the one that always has cars lined up for miles during rush hour, causing headaches for commuters and residents alike.

But fear not, because the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is stepping up to the plate. They’re expediting the process of acquiring land to widen the road, with seven landowners already on board to provide the necessary space. This means that the construction of a much-needed flyover is finally on the horizon.

And guess what? Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is also throwing his support behind the project, promising financial and technical assistance as long as the land acquisition goes smoothly. In a recent meeting with Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, Gadkari made it clear that he’s all in on helping alleviate the traffic woes in the area.

This project, which was approved way back in 2018, has faced its fair share of setbacks due to land acquisition issues. But now, with work already underway between Rajas Society and Khadi Machine Chowk in Kondhwa, things are finally starting to move forward.

The PMC is also streamlining the land acquisition process with a new single-window scheme that aims to speed up approvals and cut through the red tape. With landowners willing to pitch in, it looks like we might finally see some relief from the traffic nightmare that has plagued this route for so long.

So hang in there, Katraj – help is on the way! Once this project is completed, we can expect smoother traffic flow, happier commuters, and better connectivity in the area. Here’s to progress!
