1. The Record of Rights is a farmer’s way of proving ownership of their land, and now they can connect their Aadhaar card and mobile phone number to protect their ownership.
  2. The Agri Stack scheme will be implemented by talathis in every village starting from December 15, with the help of the State Department of Land Records and the State Agriculture Department.
  3. Each farmer will receive an identity card with details of their name, land, and Aadhaar card number to establish their ownership and prevent fraud in land deals.
  4. The Land Records Department has proposed to the Central Government to allow connecting Aadhaar cards to the Record of Rights, which has been approved.
  5. Farmers will now be notified of any land deals involving their property through an OTP sent by the Land Records Department, ensuring their consent before the deal is completed.
  6. Sarita Narke, State Director (e-Mutations Project) of the Land Records Department in Pune, stated that talathis will connect farmer’s identity cards to their Aadhaar cards in over 44,000 villages across the State within the next three months.
