Hey Pune peeps, have you ever been stuck in traffic behind a line of private buses picking up passengers on major city roads? Well, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is finally taking steps to address this issue!
According to sources, the PMC has come up with a proposal to allow private buses to park at PMPML depots during specific hours to reduce traffic congestion. This move comes after numerous complaints about buses stopping on roads like Padmavati, Sangamwadi, Nagar Road, and more, causing major delays for other vehicles.
The PMC’s Road Department has suggested allocating designated parking spaces within PMPML depots to ensure that buses don’t block roads during peak hours. If approved, this plan could greatly improve traffic flow and enhance road safety in the city.
PMPML depots, known for their ample space, have been identified as the ideal locations for this initiative. The PMC is now waiting for feedback from PMPML authorities to move forward with this much-needed change.
So, keep an eye out for updates on this proposal and hopefully, we’ll soon see fewer buses clogging up our city streets during rush hour!
