Alright folks, mark your calendars because the much-anticipated lottery draw for flats under the PMRDA affordable housing scheme is happening on February 12, 2025. This is a big deal as it will help allocate housing to deserving beneficiaries and contribute to the state’s goal of providing affordable homes for all.
The event will be held in Mumbai and will be attended by big names in the government including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal. These officials will oversee the allocation of flats under the PMAY and PMRDA affordable housing scheme.
In terms of housing allocation, a total of 1,684 flats will be up for grabs across two locations: Peth No. 12 and Peth No. 30-32. These flats are divided into different categories based on the needs of the applicants, ranging from EWS to LIG categories.
With over 3,200 applicants vying for a chance to own a home, the affordable housing scheme has generated a lot of interest. Out of these applicants, 3,256 were deemed eligible after scrutiny, while 15 applications were disqualified for not meeting the criteria.
Originally scheduled for January 22, the lottery draw had to be postponed for administrative reasons. In addition to the main event in Mumbai, a local-level draw will be held at the PMRDA office in Akurdi to ensure that local applicants can participate in the process.
So, if you’re one of the lucky applicants, make sure to be present at the draw to see if you’ve won a flat in this exciting housing initiative. Let’s hope that this lottery draw brings smiles to many faces and helps in making affordable housing a reality for all.
