Hey Puneites! Did you know that a blood donation Sohala is held annually on March 1 in Pune to celebrate the birth anniversary of Rasiklal M Dhariwal? The RMD Foundation has a history of setting records by collecting a whopping 24,000 blood bags at various donation centres in the city. This tradition is still going strong, with the Foundation also focusing on tree plantations and conservation efforts for the past 30 years.

To mark Shri Rasiklal Dhariwal Saheb’s 75th birthday, ‘One Lakh Tree Plantations’ were carried out across India under the Foundation’s ‘Pulakchhaya Yojana’. Additionally, hundreds of trees are being planted and grown as part of the ‘Ek Zaad Aichya Navane’ plan. The Foundation is also saving and transplanting trees under Pune’s Ring Road project through the ‘Tree Transplantation Scheme’.

Shobhatai Rasiklal Dhariwal, the driving force behind these initiatives, stressed the importance of tree plantation and blood donation in saving humanity. She has called on all Puneites to participate in the blood donation drive on March 1, 2025, at RMD Bungalow in Koregaon Park. For more information, you can contact them at 7353354444.

Let’s come together to make a difference in our community and celebrate the legacy of Shri Rasiklal Dhariwal Saheb!
