Hey there, Pune peeps! Get ready for a month-long mission to find missing children and women in the city. The Pune Police are gearing up for ‘Operation Muskan – 13,’ starting from December 1 until December 30.
In this operation, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Crime Branch will be forming specialized teams to track down missing individuals. Each police station in Pune will also set up dedicated units with a senior police inspector, an assistant inspector, and three constables to ramp up the search efforts.
Collaboration between police stations in Pune and neighboring areas will be key to the success of this campaign. The main focus will be on locating minor children and women above 18 years of age who have gone missing from Pune and its surroundings.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar shared his thoughts on the initiative, calling it a strong move to find missing persons year-round. The goal is to step up the search and make significant progress in reuniting families with their loved ones.
The police are treating this operation like a battle against human trafficking, emphasizing the urgency of finding missing individuals. So, keep an eye out for updates on ‘Operation Muskan – 13’ and let’s work together to bring our missing community members back home.
