In a recent announcement, he revealed plans to set up Tourist Police Stations in these popular tourist destinations to ensure the safety and security of visitors and devotees.
But that’s not all – Pawar also discussed tackling the issue of traffic congestion on highways in the area. He’s pushing for the widening of highways and the construction of flyovers in Talegaon, Chakan, and Shikrapur with the Union Ministry of Road Transport.
Some key takeaways from the meeting include the approval of a funicular ropeway project at the Ekvira Devi Temple in Karla, which will make it easier for devotees to access the temple. There are also plans to speed up the construction of Lonavala and Vadgaon (Kanhe) Sub-District Hospitals, as well as the development of a sports complex in Jambhul village.
The sports complex will cover 2.60 hectares of land and will offer facilities for Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Football, Tennis, and an Athletic Track. Additionally, various regional water supply schemes are being reviewed to ensure adequate water supply in areas like Done, Adhale, Dongargaon Kusgaon, Patan, Karla, and their surroundings.
Pawar stressed the importance of completing these projects quickly and assured additional funding if needed. He highlighted the significance of creating a top-notch sports complex in Jambhul to elevate the status of Maval taluka.
