Hey Pune peeps, some heartwarming news coming your way! The Shantisagar Welfare Society President and office-bearers recently reached out to RMD Foundation Vice-President Shobhatai R Dhariwal with a special request. They wanted an English medium school to be set up in the rural area of Kudachi (Belgaum-Karnataka) as students from the region had to travel to the taluka place to study in an English medium school.
Well, guess what? Their wish was granted! A brand new English medium school building was constructed and was officially inaugurated on Sunday (January 9) in a grand ceremony. The event saw a huge turnout with school trustees, students, parents, local leaders, and youths all coming together to celebrate this wonderful achievement.
The parents and students were over the moon as they finally had the opportunity to study in an English medium school right in their own backyard. A big shoutout to the RMD Foundation for making this dream a reality!
During the ceremony, RMD Foundation President Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan shared some insights into the incredible work being done by the Foundation nationwide. From education and environment to health, the Foundation has been making significant contributions in various fields. Projects like mega blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, distribution of smart boards, and training programs for making paper bags to reduce plastic usage are just a few examples of their impactful initiatives.
Not to mention, destitute women in the Vidarbha region are being equipped with employment skills through the Shobhatai R Dhariwal Udyog Nagari, while farmers in Nimgaon-Madha, Solapur are being trained in modern agricultural practices at Sau Shobhatai Shetki Prashikshan Kendra (Muktangan).
And let’s not forget about the scholarships awarded to deserving students pursuing medical education. Kudos to the RMD Foundation for their commendable efforts in making a positive difference in the lives of so many people.
