In a recent meeting with Maha Metro engineers, the Trust requested physical markings on-site to clarify the metro alignment’s proximity to the religious structure.

To alleviate fears of potential damage to the Samadhi structure, the Trust has asked Maha Metro to provide a written assurance that the underground metro route will not pass directly beneath the Samadhi. The Trust, comprising Secretary Satish Kokate and Trustees Surendra Waikar and Pratap Bhosale, emphasized the need for immediate action to address these concerns.

Recognizing the significance of the Shri Shankar Maharaj Samadhi Math as a spiritual center attracting devotees from Maharashtra, the Trust has proposed naming the nearby metro station as "Shri Sadguru Shankar Maharaj Samadhi Station" to pay tribute to the revered site. The Trust’s letter urges Maha Metro authorities to consider this proposal alongside addressing other concerns raised.
