Vadgaonsheri witnessed a vibrant bike rally in support of Bapusaheb Pathare, the Mahavikas Aghadi candidate for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections. The rally, led by NCP-SP Women Maharashtra Vice President Ashwini Mahangade, gathered around 1,500 participants who passionately voiced their support for the NCP-SP alliance.
Starting at Rajmata Jijau Oxygen Park, the rally paid homage to Jijau with floral tributes before making its way to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Chandan Nagar. The event aimed to shed light on the challenges faced by women in the constituency, including issues like lack of toilets, inadequate street lighting, safety concerns, water problems, and the need for improved shuttle services.
During his address at the rally, Pathare highlighted the absence of a Jijamata statue in the park, promising to erect one if elected. He emphasized the neglect of women’s empowerment and security issues over the past decade and pledged to address these crucial matters. Pathare also outlined his plans to support self-help groups, enhance toilet facilities, and provide self-defence training for women and girls.
Ashwini Mahangade expressed her confidence in Pathare’s candidacy and affirmed her belief in a successful Mahavikas Aghadi government formation in the state. The rally concluded with a sense of unity and determination among the participants, showcasing their unwavering support for Pathare and the NCP-SP alliance.
