Hey there, folks! Looks like the Class 12 board exams in Maharashtra are making headlines once again, but not for the right reasons. Despite the state board’s efforts to crack down on cheating with their copy-free campaign, a total of 154 cases of malpractice have been reported across 39 examination centers.
According to State Board President Sharad Gosavi, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division has seen the highest number of incidents, with a whopping 104 cases reported at 17 examination centers. Yikes!
But wait, it doesn’t stop there. On the very first day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination, 42 cases of malpractice were detected. The Pune division has reported 18 cases, Nagpur division has recorded three cases, Amravati has six cases, Nashik has nine cases, Latur has seven cases, and Konkan has only one case.
To keep a close eye on things, drone cameras have been deployed at sensitive examination centers for the first time. And guess what? It’s actually working! The use of drones has helped catch those sneaky cheaters in the act.
And if that’s not enough, the state board is taking strict action against those involved in malpractice. Examination centers found guilty of misconduct will face de-accreditation. Ouch!
So, as the exams continue, we’ll have to wait and see how many more cases of cheating pop up. Stay tuned for more updates on this nail-biting saga.
