Hey there, Pune peeps! Today was a special day in the city as the Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society (Azam Campus) and its affiliated institutions organized a grand procession to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Eid-e-Milad). Dr. P.A. Inamdar, the President of the society, and Chancellor of Dr. P.A. Inamdar University, kicked off the procession at 8:30 AM.

The students were out in full force, carrying placards that highlighted the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, focusing on important issues like social justice and environmental conservation. The procession made its way through various areas of Pune, spreading awareness about education, social issues, and the environment.

It wasn’t just the students who showed up – several big names from the society, including Secretary Prof. Irfan J. Shaikh, S.A. Inamdar, Sabir Shaikh, Mashkur Shaikh, and more, joined in on the fun. Teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and parents also came out in large numbers to show their support.

The procession took a route starting from Azam Campus and passed through key landmarks like Deccan Muslim Institute, Try Luck Hotel, Kohinoor Hotel, and more, before circling back to the campus. This year marked the 20th anniversary of this tribute procession, which aims to honor great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Prophet Muhammad.

It’s events like these that remind us of the importance of spreading social and educational messages to the wider public. Kudos to the Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society for organizing such a meaningful and impactful procession!
