Hey Puneites! Guess what? 35 leading Ganesh mandals in the city have come together for a common Dahi-Handi celebration this year. And the best part? It’s all thanks to the initiative of Punit Balan Group (PBG).
The idea behind this joint celebration is to tackle traffic jams, security concerns, and noise pollution during the festive season. To make things easier for both the citizens and the police department, the mandals have decided to organize a big Dahi-Handi event at Lal Mahal Chowk.
Punit Balan, the President of PBG, shared the exciting news with the media. He explained that the aim is to reduce the pressure on the authorities and create a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved. And it seems like his message struck a chord with the mandals, as 35 of them have already signed up to participate in the event.
