Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has stirred up some controversy with his recent comments about older leaders passing on responsibilities to the younger generation. During an event in Maval, Pawar suggested that once elders reach the age of 70, they should start entrusting responsibilities to their children.
While some may see this as a dig at senior leader Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar was quick to clarify that his remarks were not meant as an insult. In fact, he mentioned that he had given similar advice to other leaders in the past, including Former MP Nana Navale.
The Deputy Chief Minister made these statements while attending the inauguration of the Kanhe Sub-District Hospital and groundbreaking ceremonies for various development projects in Maval. He was joined by MLA Sunil Shelke, former MLA Ruplekha Dhore, NCP Maval Taluka President Ganesh Khandge, and Mauli Dabhade.
In addition to his controversial comments, Pawar also announced the extension of the Ladki Bahin Yojana to women from all communities with an annual income of up to ₹2.5 lakhs in the state. He assured beneficiaries that funds for the months of October and November would be credited to their accounts by 10th October.
It remains to be seen how these remarks will be received by the public and whether they will have any impact on the political landscape in Maharashtra. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
