Hey there, folks! Today in Pune, the All India Station Masters’ Association took to the streets in protest at 68 Divisional Railway Manager’s Offices all over the country. Station Masters from various railway sections joined in, making their voices heard in front of the divisional office in Pune.

The protesters had a list of demands for the Ministry of Railways, including filling vacancies in the Station Master Cadre for better train safety, appointing more station masters at all stations on double lines, and ensuring transparency in the inter-departmental transfer process. They also called for a Job Analysis for a six-hour roster in the Lonavala to Daund section, Supervisor Station Masters at major stations in the Pune division, and minimizing disruptions to their family lives during transfers.

The demonstrations were led by the All India Station Masters’ Association’s Chief Guide National President Dhananjay Chandratre, along with other key figures like Secretary General DS Arora and Zonal Secretary Ajay Sinha. They stressed the importance of these demands and the need for better facilities like RO water purifiers, restrooms, and changing rooms for women station masters.

Dhananjay Chandratre highlighted the hard work station masters put in without proper allowances for night shifts or security. Vinod Nair emphasized the need for safety measures to prevent accidents, despite the challenges faced by station masters. Rakesh Kumar pointed out the increasing workload and lack of allowances, calling for more station masters at each station to cope with the growing number of trains.

Overall, the protests aimed to bring attention to these important issues and push for better working conditions for station masters across the country. Stay tuned as the All India Station Masters’ Association continues to fight for their rights!
