Despite requests from residents to stop the activity due to health concerns and disturbance to sleep, some employees of AM Infoweb allegedly continued with the firecracker noise, intensifying the frustration among locals. While some employees apologized and stopped, others displayed a blatant disregard for noise pollution laws.
Concerned about the impact on vulnerable individuals, residents have questioned AM Infoweb’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, calling for immediate action against the responsible employees. Plans to file complaints with the police and notify the company’s HR department are underway.
Residents recounted the confrontation with the employees, noting that the situation escalated until the majority of the crowd dispersed. Police were called at 3:30 am, but arrived at 4:40 am due to other pressing matters. One resident highlighted the ignorance of the laws displayed by the educated crowd and expressed disappointment in their behavior at such an odd hour.
