Hey there, folks! Big news coming out of Pune today as Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah distributed sanction letters to a whopping 20 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ‘Gramin’ (Phase-2). And that’s not all – the first installment was also given to 10 lakh beneficiaries at the event in Maharashtra.
The event was a star-studded affair with the likes of Union Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and other dignitaries in attendance.
Amit Shah praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making it possible to allocate 20 lakh homes to beneficiaries simultaneously. He highlighted that along with the houses, beneficiaries will also receive toilets, solar panels, and soon gas cylinders, all thanks to the efforts of PM Modi and CM Fadnavis.
Shah mentioned PM Modi’s vision to make India a fully developed nation by 2047, ensuring growth and shelter for every citizen. Under the “Housing for All” scheme, a target has been set to allocate 5 crore houses to various sections by 2029, with 3 crore 80 lakh families already provided homes.
He also touched upon PM Modi’s initiatives like providing free food grains, homes, electricity access, and healthcare security to millions of people. Shah emphasized the infrastructure projects initiated for Maharashtra’s development under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar.
Projects like irrigation schemes, Vande Bharat trains, Metro projects in Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur, new airports in Shirdi and Sindhudurg, and the Atal Setu Trans-Harbour Link were highlighted as key achievements. The development of India’s largest container port in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of ₹76,000 crore was also mentioned.
Overall, it seems like Maharashtra is on the path to progress and development under the guidance of PM Modi and the state government. Exciting times ahead for the people of Pune and beyond!
