Hey there, Pune peeps! Big news in the dairy world – Amul has just dropped the price of their one-litre milk pouches by ₹1! That’s right, you can now enjoy your favorite Amul Gold, Taaza, T-Special, and Chai Mazza for a little less moolah.
This price cut is a pretty big deal considering Amul’s usual strategy of increasing prices every year. In fact, this is the first time in ages that they’ve actually lowered the price of their one-litre milk variants. And don’t worry, the price of their 500ml pouches is staying put.
Even with this price drop, Amul is still doing pretty darn well financially. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) – the folks behind Amul – saw an 8% growth in turnover, hitting a whopping ₹59,445 crore in the last financial year.
So go ahead and treat yourself to some cheaper milk, Pune! Your wallet will thank you.
