- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that an FIR has been filed under various sections of the IT Act, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) related to insulting a woman’s modesty and obscene acts.
- The Assam Crime Branch team traveled to Mumbai to serve notices to some of the accused in the case, before arriving at Raina’s apartment in Pune. However, Raina was not present as he is reportedly out of the country.
- In response to the developments, Raina took to social media to express his feelings, stating that the situation has been overwhelming for him. He also mentioned that he has removed all ‘India’s Got Latent’ videos from his channel and emphasized that his only intention was to make people laugh. Raina assured that he will fully cooperate with all investigating agencies.
- On the other hand, Allahbadia, popular for his ‘BeerBiceps’ YouTube channel, issued a public apology regarding the remarks made. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing as authorities look into the matter further.
