Hey folks, some interesting news coming out of Wagholi! Haveli Tehsildar Trupti Kolte recently conducted raids on a Shiv Bhojan Thali centre and an unauthorized Aadhaar card centre in Wagholi-Perne Phata, cracking down on some serious irregularities.
First up, officials raided a Shiv Bhojan Thali centre run by the Sangharsh Mahila Self-Help Group in Perne. Turns out, the centre was not playing by the rules – they had a private mess board displayed and were charging customers more than the government-approved rate. And get this, the place was supposed to accommodate 50 people but only had three to four tables! Plus, their CCTV system was on the fritz. Not a good look.
But that’s not all – based on a complaint from the Perne Gram Panchayat, authorities also raided an unauthorized Aadhaar card centre operating from Shriraj Cyber Cafe. The centre was registered under a different name and address, shady stuff.
During the raid, a guy named Sagar Shingane was there but didn’t want to spill the beans. Officials seized all the machines, laptops, and other equipment from the premises.
Tehsildar Trupti Kolte had this to say about the whole situation, “The seized machines will be deposited at the District Collector’s Office. We will investigate and verify the Aadhaar cards issued from this centre.”
The raid was a joint effort by the Revenue Department and Gram Panchayat employees. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
