Local residents in Baner are facing a major healthcare crisis as they are forced to travel long distances to seek medical treatment. Private hospitals are charging exorbitant fees, making it impossible for daily wage earners to afford necessary medical care. Fees at these hospitals range from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh per day, putting a strain on the already burdened residents.

Despite the approval of necessary resolutions, the Baner hospital remains non-operational, leaving the community in a lurch. When Pune Pulse reached out to Amol Balwadkar, he expressed his determination to see the hospital up and running. Balwadkar emphasized the need for the facility and stated that he is willing to go to great lengths, including protests, to ensure its opening as soon as possible.

In a recent incident, Balwadkar personally arranged for an ambulance and covered the expenses for a young girl in need of urgent medical care. This gesture highlighted the urgency of the situation and the necessity of getting the hospital operational without further delay.Residents are hopeful that Balwadkar’s efforts will lead to a positive outcome and bring much-needed relief to the community.
