Hey folks, it looks like there’s some drama brewing in Pune’s political scene! BJP former corporator Amol Balwadkar has thrown down the gauntlet and directly challenged Kothrud MLA and State Minister Chandrakant Patil.

Balwadkar is alleging that Patil has been playing dirty during the candidate selection process, hurting the self-respect of aspiring BJP workers and using pressure tactics to get his way. Ouch, shots fired!

According to Balwadkar, party office-bearers from the six party-held constituencies were asked for their views, and sitting MLAs were preferred in five out of the six Assembly seats. This hasn’t gone down well with other hopefuls, including Balwadkar himself, who was left out in the cold.

In a fiery press meet, Balwadkar didn’t hold back, calling out Patil and other party bigwigs for their behavior. He even went as far as to say that the party’s image is being tarnished by certain leaders.

Balwadkar is standing his ground and making it known that he won’t be silenced. He’s reached out to top leaders like Devendra Fadnavis, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and Raosaheb Danve, but hasn’t received a response yet.

It seems like things are heating up in Pune’s political circles. Will Balwadkar get the recognition he feels he deserves, or will Patil continue to hold sway? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates on this political showdown!
