It seems like there’s some drama brewing within the BJP party in Pune. Sources close to Ghate are saying that he’s not happy with the party’s recent decisions, but he’s not planning on causing a rebellion. Instead, he’s going to talk to the party leadership about his concerns.

Ghate has a strong political background, having served as a corporator in the Pune Municipal Corporation and even as the BJP’s Pune unit chief. However, the recent bypolls didn’t go the BJP’s way, with Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar winning the Kasba seat. Other party members, like Srinath Bhimale and Amol Balwadkar, are also feeling overlooked and dissatisfied with the party’s choices.

And it’s not just Ghate who’s feeling the heat. Deepak Nagpure, who was hoping to run in Khadakwasla, didn’t get a ticket from the BJP. He had been positioning himself as a Hindutva leader, but it looks like the party had other plans. Looks like there’s some tension within the ranks of the BJP in Pune.
