Hey there, folks! It’s a sad day in Pune as a bus cleaner tragically lost his life in a freak accident on Ganeshkhind Road. The incident took place early Friday morning while the bus was en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad.
The victim, identified as Sanket Devidas Chailwal, fell from the top of the moving bus after the driver suddenly hit the brakes. The driver, Bablu Hamidmiya Maktewale, has been taken into custody by the Chatushrungi police.
According to reports, the bus was passing by the Vaikunthbhai Mehta Institute when an overhead wire posed a threat to the vehicle. The driver instructed Sanket to climb onto the roof and remove the obstruction. Unfortunately, a sudden brake caused Sanket to lose his balance and fall, resulting in severe head injuries.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Sanket couldn’t survive his injuries. The police investigation has revealed that the driver’s abrupt braking was the cause of the fatal accident. As a result, the driver has been arrested, and further inquiries are ongoing under the supervision of Police Sub-Inspector Shamal Patil.
