The MPSC is gearing up to conduct the Preliminary Examination on August 25th, but there’s a twist in the tale. Candidates are pushing for the inclusion of the 258 Maharashtra Agricultural Service posts in this exam. However, the MPSC explained that the government’s request for the Agricultural Service Examination 2024 came in after the exam advertisement was already out on December 29, 2023. So, unfortunately, the agricultural posts couldn’t be added to the current advertisement.

Even though the candidates are protesting, the MPSC officials have confirmed that everything is set for the August 25th exam. They have promised that the recruitment for the agricultural posts will be taken care of in a future examination.

The protest at Shastri Road drew a large crowd, with protestors expressing their discontent through chants and slogans. To ensure order, the police presence was beefed up, and authorities urged the demonstrators to keep things peaceful. Thankfully, the demonstration proceeded without any untoward incidents.
