Hey there, Pune peeps! Big news coming your way – the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has put a halt to the transfer of Pune (Rural) Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Deshmukh. Talk about some drama in the police force!

Deshmukh wasted no time and headed straight to the CAT as soon as he got wind of the transfer order. And guess what? CAT members Justice SG Sevalikar and Justice Santosh Mehra were like, “Hold up, we need to look into this.” So they decided to stay the directive, meaning Deshmukh gets to keep his SP (Rural) Pune title for now.

In case you’re wondering, Deshmukh was transferred to his current gig from the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) earlier this year on January 31. It was just a regular ol’ transfer, no biggie. But after just seven months, he got shuffled over to the Mumbai Police as the DCP without any explanation. Mysterious, right?

Anyway, the CAT has spoken – Deshmukh ain’t going anywhere until the next hearing on October 19. So, let’s see how this saga unfolds. Stay tuned for more updates, Pune peeps!
