Are you tired of getting sick from eating unhygienic food or being overcharged for snacks on your train journey? Well, the Pune division of the Indian Railways is here to save the day!
In a recent crackdown on unauthorized vendors, a total of 17 hawkers were detained for prosecution on October 15th and 16th, 2024. The drive took place on various trains including 12627, 11301, 11029, and 11030, as well as at stations in Pune, Daund, Ahmednagar, and Miraj.
The goal of this initiative is to prevent the sale of unhygienic food and non-approved packaged drinking water, as well as to combat overcharging on food items. The railway administration is urging passengers to only purchase food and water from authorized vendors to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience.
So next time you’re on a train in the Pune division, remember to support the authorized vendors and say no to unhygienic food and overpriced snacks!
