Hey folks, if you’re planning to attend the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj next year, Central Railway has got you covered! They’ve announced that they will be running 34 special trains between CSMT / Pune – Mau and Nagpur-Danapur to help clear the extra rush of passengers during the religious festival.
Here are the details you need to know:
1) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Mau Kumbh Mela Specials: These trains will run on various dates from 09.01.2025 to 26.02.2025 and will have stops at major stations like Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, and more. The composition includes AC and Sleeper classes.
2) Pune – Mau Kumbh Mela Specials: Running from 08.01.2025 to 22.02.2025, these trains will stop at stations like Daund Chord line, Ahmednagar, and Belapur. The composition includes AC and Sleeper classes as well.
3) Nagpur – Danapur Kumbh Mela Specials: These trains will run on four different dates in January and February 2025, with stops at stations like Itarsi, Jabalpur, and Varanasi. The composition includes AC and Sleeper classes too.
For those interested in booking tickets for these special trains, reservations will open on 20.12.2024 at all PRS centres and the IRCTC website. General second-class coaches will run as unreserved, and tickets can be booked through UTS.
