If you’ve ever been stuck in Pune’s traffic, you know how frustrating it can be. But fear not, because there’s some hope on the horizon! Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil recently met with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to discuss funding for key road projects in the Kothrud assembly constituency.

Patil made a strong case for the urgent need for funding to improve road links and ease traffic congestion in Pune. And it seems like his efforts paid off, as Ajit Pawar promised that the state government would provide the necessary funds for the city’s road development.

The Pune Municipal Corporation’s ‘Mission 15’ is also in full swing, with 15 major roads in the city set to undergo development. With an estimated cost of ₹870 crore, ₹325 crore has been allocated for road improvements in Kothrud alone. And the state government is expected to pitch in ₹150 crore to make it happen.

With Pune’s rapid growth, it’s clear that the city’s transport infrastructure needs a serious upgrade. Patil emphasized the importance of taking decisive action to improve roads, build bridges, and manage traffic effectively. By working together, the state government and PMC can overcome any challenges and help Pune continue to thrive.
