Travelers at Pune Airport faced a nightmare today as multiple flights were delayed and one was even cancelled, leading to chaos and frustration among passengers. The flight bound for Lucknow was delayed by over 4 hours, while SpiceJet’s flight SG 8184 was delayed for nearly 5 hours, leaving passengers uncertain and uncomfortable. Adding to the chaos, a flight to Delhi also experienced delays, further exacerbating the situation at the airport.

To make matters worse, Air India Express cancelled its scheduled flights to Bangalore and Delhi without any prior notice, leaving passengers like Abhay Singh in distress as their family plans were disrupted. Singh expressed his frustration, stating that their journey from Pune to Lucknow was delayed by two hours, causing inconvenience especially with a young nephew in tow.

Passengers criticized Air India Express for the lack of proactive communication and support during the disruptions, with one traveler stating that offering complimentary meals and water did not make up for the wasted time. Another passenger, Prashant Kadam, expressed disappointment with SpiceJet’s handling of the situation, highlighting the complete breakdown in communication from the airline.

As frustrations continue to mount, passengers are calling for clearer guidelines and support measures from DGCA India and airlines to compensate for delays and cancellations. They are urging for better accountability and assistance for affected travelers during such disruptions.
