The Maharashtra Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, is not backing down in the fight against drugs in Pune. He has given strict orders to the Pune Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, to crack down on illegal constructions and pubs involved in drug activities.
During a recent meeting, CM Shinde expressed his concerns about the rising drug sales in Pune and emphasized the need to make the city drug-free. He wants Commissioner Kumar to take decisive action against illegal pubs and drug dealers operating within the city.
To ensure that Pune becomes a drug-free zone, CM Shinde has authorized the use of bulldozers to demolish unauthorized structures that are linked to drug trafficking. He wants all necessary measures to be taken to rid the city of drugs and has instructed the deployment of bulldozers to take down these illegal constructions.
It’s clear that the Maharashtra government is serious about tackling the drug menace in Pune and is leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to make the city a safer place for its residents.
